This is my first attempt at rendering a 3D image. I've been slowly learning blender from youtube tutorials and I set up the scene in After Effects using Element 3D. The corridor model used for this scene was from Video Copilot's free Star Wars model pack. The other 3D elements I created in blender myself. The saber droid is of my own design. The other two droids were loosely modeled off of the IG-86 Sentinel droids from Star Wars. I used some stock elements blended with Particular for the explosion. The bolts and saber were created using Video Copilot's Saber plug in. This was done mainly as a test for an in progress Star Wars fan film I am working on.
Here's another Element 3D render. I made all of the models for this scene. The nearest ship is meant to be a predecessor to the Naboo N1 starfighter. The ship taking off is of my own design but had a fair bit of inspiration from the blue and white starfighter flown by Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars animated series (2003). The final ship on the end was loosely modeled on the Mandalorian starfighters seen in The Clone Wars and Rebels animated series. I didn't like the way the model for that ship turned out so it is on the end and very blurry. This was my first attempt at using the depth of field feature in Element 3D and was another test for my previously mentioned film project.
